Comment DBCC-4416

I feel that a political constituency should consist of communities that share an identity. An elected MP should represent the interests of their constituency. How can an MS represent the interests of someone living in Pwllheli together with a constituent in Ruabon? I think that the joining together of existing Westminster constituencies, some of which were questionable in themselves, was a
lazy approach to the issue. Surely, for example, Monmouthshire would be better combined with areas of South Powys to form a constituency with a rural identity rather than joining with Torfaen?

The turn out in the Senedd elections has never been high. These constituencies are likely to alienate the electorate even further, particularly in North and Mid-Wales, thereby exacerbating the North - South divide.
