Whilst merging Alyn & Deeside with Wrexham might seem like a good idea because they are two similar regions, and geographically small (compared to other constituencies), this is not the case.

The population density in these two constituencies is far greater than other constituencies, which would result in an vastly increased workload for a single MP.

The side effect of this would be a reduction in public service from the MP, because the expenses they are allowed to claim for staffing is fixed by Parliament. Recruiting more caseworkers would be restricted by minimum wage requirements etc.
