2026 Review of Senedd constituencies: Initial Proposals

As Returning Officer for Carmarthenshire County Council, I would like to express my support
1 for the proposed constituency of Caerfyrddin/Carmarthen. I would also like to support the proposed constituency name. Hopefully the electorate of Carmarthenshire will agree with me
that the proposed constituency feels as natural as possible.

I believe that Carmarthenshire's proposals are well thought out, however I would urge you to work closely with the Electoral Commission on an engagement programme leading up to the 2026 Senedd elections to avoid Voter confusion.

I would like to thank the Boundary Commission Cymru for the opportunity to make representation to this important consultation.
