Comment DBCC-7057

I am concerned that the requirements for contiguity mean that we are losing opportunities for constituencies that perhaps have a more natural sense of community including alignment with well-established health and care pathways across Wales.

Allied to this, the proposed constituency map feels very much about "north Wales" and "south Wales" and we lose the sense of constituencies that truly represent the interests of "mid Wales". Llangurig & Churchstoke are brought together with Caernarfon; Beguildy, Knighton and Rhayader with Port Tennant.

I do recognise that there is a a fundamental challenge of mathematics though that means Maldwyn & Glyndwr must be paired to the north unless we opt for a large west coast constituency encompassing Dwyfor Meirionydd and Ceredigion Preseli that spans the Dyfi Estuary.
