Comment DBCC-8140

Good morning,

Firstly, I'm of the opinion that your hands are tied by the Welsh Government as 2 x UK constituencies have to be connected. What do UK constituencies have to do with democracy in Wales? And of course, the 2 must be with a boundary that touch.

In the last consultation I said that I did not agree with large constituencies. I think this is an opinion held by many of the Welsh population. Maybe the majority. But it seems that opinion cannot be changed in Cardiff.

I'm not opposed to more Members in the Senedd but I'm not in favour of this plan to increase the numbers.

As you are asking about the way you have twinned the constituencies, I don't agree with Anglesey Bangor Aberconwy. I'd like to see Anglesey twinned with Dwyfor Meirionnydd. This would have made much more sense linguistically and culturally.
