Comment DBCC-8144

Sirs

I wish to formally protest the recommendation that some parliamentary seats are named only in Welsh.

The language act requires equality. In a reverse decision Welsh speakers could be expected to pronounce English language names, would that be acceptable? I doubt it.

Welsh Government has set a target of 1 million Welsh speakers for the future as an aspirations. Even if that is achieved with the current population of Wales 75% of the population would not understand or properly know to pronounce the new constituency names.

I give notice of an intent to challenge this decision under the language act.
