Comment DBCC-8203
I want to strongly object to your current proposal of Welsh only names for Senedd boundaries.
I am an English speaking Welsh man, and the Welsh government already discriminates against me with a host of policies such as not employing people who cannot speak basic phrases in Welsh. This is in addition to not being able to watch our national football team on state broadcaster with English commentary, these actions are already alienating me and others.
These proposals are another indicator that our state is implying that Welsh people who do not speak the language are less important or valued than those that do.
I strongly urge you to reconsider this approach in the upcoming boundary changes.
For the record, I also object to increasing the number of seats, I would rather tax payer monies be spent on reducing the already considerable inequalities that exist in Wales compared to other regions of the UK.
Kind Regards
