The pairing of Anglesey and Gwynedd constituencies is much more logical. This has historical roots – that of the former county of Gwynedd, before the reorganisation of local government. Not only that there are more linguistic, economic and cultural similarities between Anglesey and Gwynedd than there are between Anglesey and the Bangor constituency of Conwy.
