Comment DBCC-8321

Dear Sirs,

I wish to object to the welsh only names for the new areas being created following the boundary changes.

I am an English speaker and find it very difficult to pronounce Welsh only names.

This is very difficult when attempting to place orders e.t.c. and I believe would cause delays if I needed to contact the emergency services as it would be difficult to give my exact location.

This, I feel, discriminates against non-welsh speakers.

I feel that this policy indicates to me that I am not welcome in Wales as a non-welsh speaker.

This policy may work in areas where welsh is more widely spoken but in the Bridgend area, is not a good plan.

I hope you will reconsider this idea.

Regards
