Comment DBCC-8322

I have chosen to submit my comments on the above as an e.mail.

I live in the proposed new boundary of ‘South Powys Tawe and Neath.

How does this area relate to mid Wales , particularly as the foot of our new area now dips into south Wales? This area is so socially and economically removed from that of ‘ mid Wales ‘.

My main question is why has there been a push to select new boundaries?
What was ‘ wrong ‘ with the old boundaries ?
Why have they become unworkable ?

In today’s economic climate when most counties, including Powys find themselves having to make big financial cut backs to meet increasing costs why decide to create an extra cost? The revised boundary outcome is not known and may well work out more costly in the end run to maintain.

You ask us now to comment but from my understanding the Commission looks as though it has perhaps already made up its mind.

Kindest regards and all the best for 2025.
