The so-called constituencies (but more accurately regions given their large size and disparate areas) are probably the least bad way of meeting the requirements set by the Senedd.
However in at least one case the proposed name is unacceptable, namely for the combined Torfaen an Monmouthshire region. The proposed name for the latter of Mynwy is unheard in the county.
Use of this will make the new senedd system seem even more like a foreign imposition, with the MS appointed by a corrupt and unrepresentative process, with no meaningful local links.
The use of only welsh language names may be harmful to the language.
